San Francisco, California: Basic Income Create-A-Thon 2017

March 24, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - March 26, 2017 @ 6:00 pm UTC-8

$15

Since 2015, the California-based Universal Income Project has sponsored “create-a-thons” to promote creative work related to basic income. Past create-a-thons have been held in San Francisco (November 2015), Los Angeles (April 2016), and New Orleans (September 2016).

The next Basic Income Create-a-thon will again take place in San Francisco, from March 24 to 26 at the café and workspace Covo. It is open to “creators of all kinds” including “writers, artists, technologists, policy activists, filmmakers, and other advocates for basic income”.

The event’s Facebook page specifies a “prompt” for the projects to be designed and completed over the weekend:

Think of one thing you wish existed to help explain what basic income is, answer a question about how it would work, or get people to support it…and then make it happen!

Participants must register on Eventbrite.
