In this proposal for a change in the Constitution published in Slate, the blogger suggests the creation of an hourly, tax-free subsidy that will be equal to full time work. In the face of such a change, the author suggests the federal minimum wage will be unnecessary. Also, argues the blogger, social welfare payments to able-bodied adults should be eliminated as every able bodied will be able to receive a guaranteed basic wage.
