Rigmar Osterkamp, a long-time critic of the Namibian Basic Income Pilot project has recently published a new piece on DandC.edu. In the piece he calls the project a “failure.”

Oosterkamp has some valid criticism, as he admonished the failure to introduce a control group (or some group a least mildly akin it). The biggest elephant in the room, though, is the Namibian government’s stance because it signals a lack of general support. BIG is not only about the money, but also about “doing the right thing”.
