“Basic Income: Freedom or Folly?” with Enno Schmidt

February 16, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:15 pm UTC-6

$20

The Chicago Council on Global Affairs is hosting a conversation with Enno Schmidt, artist, filmmaker, and co-founder of the people’s initiative for Basic Income in Switzerland.

From the Facebook event description:

“[W]hile supporters see basic income as a way to reduce poverty and bureaucracy, and prepare for future technology-related job losses, critics question what will happen to society when people are no longer compelled to work. Does basic income promise a future of personal freedom? Can we afford it?”

The cost of the event is $10 for members of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and $20 for non-members.
