COPENHAGEN: BIEN-Denmark meeting and screening of Free Lunch Society

March 25 @ 11:00 am - 5:30 pm UTC+1

BIEN Denmark will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, March 25 at Kulturhuset Indre By. This will be followed by a screening of a new documentary on basic income, Free Lunch Society by director Christian Tod. This will be one of the first showings of the film, which has its world premiere at Copenhagen’s Bremen Theatre on March 20 (see CPH:DOX for details).

The afternoon meeting (1-3 PM Central European Time), which is free and open to the public, will feature a panel discussion on basic income and trade unions. Speakers include Louise Haagh (University of York, co-chair of BIEN), Torsten Gejl (MP for the green political party Alternativet), Christian Sølyst (LO – Confederation of Denmark).

The screening of Free Lunch Society will begin at 3:30 PM CET. Tickets are 85 kr, though members of BIEN Denmark receive a 20% discount. The viewing will be followed by a debate.
